My First Christmas In Espana!

Ok, first I’ll start by saying I’m sorry as I completely lacked in uploading blogs this month folks, but it’s December so surely you can forgive! For those of you that run a blog and work full-time you’ll feel my pain for being too busy to upload, but I apologise nonetheless as I have quite a lot to report if you’ve seen my Twitter account.

For those of you that don’t know, I moved abroad to Spain last year and this year was my first year spending Christmas abroad. I’m not going to lie, I had mixed feelings over this. I’m definitely a home town girl at the route of it all who wanted to spend the holidays with her family, but part of me was itching to experience the abroad feeling. And while the company, food and weather was splendid, I have to admit that it’s a difficult transition to make. The entire Christmas Day was devoid of panic, madness and presents, but I didn’t care… as cliched as it sounds, I really appreciated the importance of seeing the few family and friends over receiving material goods. And of course the blue skies really did help…

Did any of you spend Christmas abroad away from your families? Let me know your expat/abroad experiences in the comments!
